Since Rag & Bone first launched in 2002, the New York-based British design duo of Marcus Wainwright and David Neville have continuously created must-have, precisely tailored basics of the utterly chic variety.
While Rag & Bone's looks are usually comprised of key, timeless staples – i.e. blazers, jeans, tailored coats, jackets and simple dresses – their spring/summer 2011 collection suggested that the duo are more than their traditional oeuvre. Bold colours, photographic prints and bandage straps ebbed and flowed throughout the show. Our eyes were feasting on the fragile knits, lace and silk chiffons, while pops of blue hues, corals, nudes and metallics made us yearn for more.
Backstage, the designers summed up their collection perfectly: desert warfare. We're truly inspired and have already begun to plan for our spring holiday…!
