After nearly 365 days of anticipation, two seriously exclusive VIP events and one very special Queen Bey, the doors of Topshop’s 5th Avenue store are finally open. Here’s a moment by moment run down…
With another six hours before the store actually opens the hardcore Topshop and Topman fans started their queue – or “line” should be say – down along 49th street at 6am. First in the queue was a student from North Carolina rocking a seriously awesome leather jacket (Topman, of course) and the rest of the line featured in their stylish bests.
CARA AND MAX’S GRAND ARRIVAL
If there’s anyone who can rock a blue velvet suit and Jordan’s to perfect it’s Cara Delevingne. Looking seriously gorgeous and fresh faced, Cara linked up with actor Max Irons to welcome in the crowds. Could there be a more gorgeous couple? We think not.
HAILEE STEINFELD SNUCK IN
Actress Hailee Steinfeld just couldn’t help herself. Last night’s Topshop party wasn’t enough for this A-lister and she had to pop down to the store’s grand opening to grab a few 5th Ave exclusives and take a selfie or two with BFF Hailey Baldwin.
THE TWITTER MIRROR WENT VIRAL
You’d think a night of papping selfies at our VIP party at Grand Central Station would be enough but for our 5th Ave style insiders – Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Hailey Baldwin and Kate Foley – they couldn’t stop the tweeting. Our favourite has got to be the three of them all cosied up together like best of pals.
CARA GIVES GOOD SELFIE
Cara didn’t just open the store with a smile but with a selfie. After taking the podium with Max Irons she rushed over to the crowds and took a pic on her phone, capturing the screaming Topshop and Cara lovers in the background. It didn’t end there, Cara did a run down of the entire queue with Sir Philip Green to meet those who had been waiting patiently for the store to open. Beautiful and nice. Good job, Cara.
