5 London Fashion Week Street Style Trends To Wear Now

With Milan Fashion Week in full swing, we’re looking back at the trends that emerged on London’s streets last week. Why? Because you can wear all of them right now! From statement boots, to reinvented knitwear silhouettes – here are the five key trends we’ve spotted…

Metallic Boots

This season, the street style pros opted for metallic boots (which were also trending at the shows) as their statement piece. Pick from gold, silver and rose gold options, pair with a midi skirt or jeans and match your jewellery to complete the look.

Reinvented Knits

With the colder months fast approaching, it’s time to re-think your knit. Do it like the street stylers and choose from ruffled shoulders, fluted sleeves and draped silhouettes. If Olivia Palermo does it, we’re into it.

We predicted it. It happened. Velvet was everywhere this season, from shoes, to jeans and puffers. Right on cue with the ’80s trend, we’re making the crushed velvet suit our new season hero piece.

Embroidered Coats

Moving on from the bomber, London’s fashion crowd has taken embroidery onto kimono-style coats and trenches that can be thrown over pretty much anything. Being on-trend has never been this easy.

PU & Vinyl

Especially prominent in patent black and bright red, PU and vinyl were the hottest materials in town. Whether on a wrapped skirt, oversized biker or coat (as seen on Alexa Chung), keep the rest of the look simple to make your high-shine piece really stand out.
