Binge-watched all of Emily in Paris this weekend? Us too, and we’re obsessed. So while we long for the promise of a Season 2, we decided to look back at all of Emily’s most iconic outfits from the show in the meantime. Though she always looked runway-ready, many of her Carrie Bradshaw-esque looks could also work for your day-to-day that sadly probably doesn’t involve sipping wine by the Seine or trips to the Eiffel Tower. So, scroll down now and discover five of our favourite Emily looks that you can recreate yourself. Now, all you need to do is learn French and look for jobs in Paris. Enjoy!
1. Autumn in Paris
Now that Autumn is in full force, what better place to start than Emily’s head-to-toe green look that is perfect for right now. Start with a lighter shade of green for the shacket, then play around with different tones for your shoes and bag – trust us, it’ll all pull together in the end. Add some trending accessories like a bucket hat and a scarf tied around the neck to trick people into thinking you’re actually Parisian.
2. The new girl
To impress the boss on your first day in the office, do power-dressing like Emily and don’t forget to keep it playful. Show off your personality by clashing prints and colours and keep your accessories fun. To really nail this look, just do up the top couple of buttons of your shirt with a white cami showing underneath. And, you can always use that scarf from look one and tie it to your handbag to hold on to that French flare.
3. Lady in rouge
Emily is no stranger to love in the series, so for a romantic date-night look copy her all-red look to feel like you’re in Paris even if you only made it to Café Rouge. With this look, try and keep the tones as similar as possible – just like Emily, we’re obsessed with burgundy hues for this season. Add some little Western boots for a cool-girl edge and a complementing lipstick for the ultimate finishing touch.
4. To the ballet
We might not be heading off to see Swan Lake anytime soon however, we can take notes from Emily’s ballet look when it comes to our Saturday-night attire. Steal her silhouette with an off-shoulder dress and add a touch of sparkle with your handbag, shoes and earrings. And remember to take a faux fur or leather jacket with you to be ready when a chill arrives later in the evening.
5. French florals
To see just how to transition your floral midi dresses into the colder seasons, do like Emily and toughen it up with a studded belt to cinch in the waist. Then, add boots and a backpack to let the look take you from lunching by the Louvre to your French lesson after work with ease. Or, it works just as well for that desk to date-night thing too.
